The iiT invites applications for a postdoctoral fellowship in tumor immunology. We seek researchers to investigate the interaction of cancer cells, in particular leukemia and lymphoma cells, with the tumor-immune microenvironment and how this interaction can be manipulated or harnessed for therapeutic strategies.
Experience and Expertise
Candidates should have a strong background in cell biology, tumor biology and cellular and molecular immunology. They should be familiar with human, mouse as well as cell line models, should have experience in performing NGS-based technologies such as immune profiling or microbiome analysis and skilled in standard biochemical and molecular methods such as lentiviral work and gene editing. In addition, candidates should be good team players and have good project- and self-management qualities as well as excellent presentation skills. Candidates must have a PhD, MD, or an equivalent graduate degree. Non-traditional applicants, such as those from industry, are particularly encouraged to appl.
Who we are
The iiT (individualized immune Therapy) Research and Development company (Ltd.) is a novel spinoff of the Salzburg Cancer Research Institute (SCRI) and is therefore tightly embedded in the local research environment (limcr.at and cccit.at) and the pharmaceutical industry. The position will offer an exciting job in a supportive environment in a seminal field of research. The postdoc fellowship will be fully funded for 1 year but can optionally be extended to up to 5 years upon annual evaluation.
Annual salary: € 79.800,00
